All applicants need to complete a six-hour "job shadowing" prior to application process. Documentation is required.
The Dental Chairside Assisting program involves 12 weeks of training, in which students have an opportunity to practice the various routine of chairside assisting.
The chariside also requires twenty hours of shadowing that may be completed in one week or may be spread over a two or three week period, but must be completed within 30 days after the completion of the 12 week portion. The X-ray class is included in the chairside program.
This course uses an online classroom for homework and test. The student IS REQUIRED to have a computer, printer and access to the internet in order to successfully complete this course.
Books and supplies are NOT included. Students will need a laptop computer to learn the dental software portion of the course, Apple products are NOT compatible with the schools software. The school has a few laptops for students to use during class time but are limited and student is responsible for homework assignments to be completed before class time.
